My name is Blake Heckel and I am from Raleigh, North Carolina. I live in a family of four with my mom, dad, and sister. My sister currently attends the University of North Carolina, my mom is director of customer service at Marbles Kids museum, while my dad is a computer programmer at ATEB. I’m currently a senior at Heritage High School, and I attended Ligon Middle School as well. I currently work at the Marbles IMAX theater in downtown Raleigh as a guest experience host. Some of my hobbies include watching movies at the theater, playing basketball, and watching The Walking Dead. I am also a die hard Broncos fan and enjoy watching the NFL consistently. I have been a member of the Heritage key club where I have helped work on numerous school projects and community service opportunities such as a charity night at the factory which involved bingo, also I have helped make Christmas and Valentine’s day cards for children’s hospitals and retirement homes. Key Club was a great experience due to the satisfaction of helping my community and working with the fellow peers of my school. My current plan is to maintain a high GPA in high school my senior year and enjoy my final year of high school, I also hope to continue to work well at my job to give myself financial stability on my path to college. While my future plan is to attend a four-year university, and attain a degree in computer science. Universities that I’m interested in including Appalachian state, UNC Wilmington, UNC Greensboro, and NC state.
